Cecilia Berglund's thoughts of building a sustainable company in the tourism industry began many years ago, but she only took the plunge after working for a long time with the development of meeting tourism.
She felt the lack of involvement in delivering the experiences.
The best thing about the company is that it's about giving people experiences that hopefully deliver beyond the ordinary - and I get to see it happen. Getting to create events that focus on sustainability right away, without compromising quality or the planet. Everything from a cup of coffee brewed over a fire to a coffee break, a pop-up restaurant in the countryside or a successful conference trip to the mountains.
Building a whole that follows the client's purpose - that's something that energises me.
In the spring of 2019, Cecilia Berglund participated with her business idea in the pre-incubator programme eXpress, and later that year the company was accepted into the incubator Creatives.In 2020, the company was transformed into Eco Camp Umeå AB.
