On Friday evening, the Kickoff for the Trade Gala in Umeå was held. The 2019 winners will be celebrated at the upcoming Handelsgala on 1 February 2020, and companies can already nominate for the new Business Model of the Year award. In the picture we see Veronica Ottosson, Ingrids Underkläder who was nominated for the Store of the Year during the national Retail Award talking to the programme manager of Future Retail Lab, Dr Annakarin Nyberg.

The Business Model of the Year Award is given to a company that dares to explore new business models to meet the opportunities of the future and create a sustainable trade and awarded in collaboration with eXpression Umeå and Future Retail Lab.

Until 10 November, companies can be nominated for the new award on the Trade Awards website. A jury will then select the final nominees for the various award categories, which will be announced on 26 November.

Handelsgalan Umeå is organised by Umeå Handel, Visit Umeå and Umeå Municipality, and has the task of highlighting talented companies and individuals in the trade sector in Umeå.
