OPENING OF EXPRESSION POP-IN

OPENING OF EXPRESSION POP-IN

We have finally opened the doors to our Pop-in in the MVG gallery. Together with our creators we had a magical opening where Anna Parry, Proto Projects told us about the design sprint that started the welcoming, inspiring and playful environment that Maria Östensson, Östensson Design Studio then created in the premises.

Some fifty invited guests were on hand to celebrate and listen to interviews with the students from the design sprint and conversations with the entrepreneurs from eXpression Umeå. They talked about what they will be doing in the environment at various times over the next few months and the first weekend Pia Stylist and Concept were on hand in a collaboration with the Coffee Family.

Marlene Johansson, CEO of eXpression Umeå, cut the official opening ribbon together with her colleagues and then the artist Irene Moragas and Jonas Andersson took the stage to offer sweet music. The mingling factor was high and tasty snacks were served from Tonka.

It feels great that the premises are finally ready for our creative industries. Interesting collaborations will take place here and the entrepreneurs at eXpression Umeå will have a place in the city centre to create relationships, sell and market their services and products. A big thank you goes to the property owner Mofab for daring to give an incubator business this opportunity, says Marlene Johansson, CEO of eXpression Umeå.

Earlier in the day, the premises were used for a workshop in the Future Retail Lab accelerator programme, and at lunchtime there was a much appreciated hosting lecture by Mari Gustafsson, store manager IKEA Umeå and Dino Jahic, sales and customer relations manager IKEA Umeå.

We are extremely excited about the opportunity this gives us all to network and make our entire business accessible," says Annakarin Nyberg, programme manager Future Retail Lab eXpression Umeå.
