Apply for cultural grants at Region Västerbotten

The application for Region Västerbotten's cultural scholarships 2021 is now open - which has been expanded to include scholarships for film, crafts and music. Each year, a visual arts scholarship and an honorary prize in the form of a gift are also awarded.

The scholarships are intended for cultural practitioners working in Västerbotten County. All scholarships can help creators with the costs of work, travel or studies, and the awarding of scholarships is always aimed at equality and geographical distribution across the county.

- Västerbotten needs all its artists and cultural workers. A region that wants to create confidence in the future, develop and be attractive needs to invest in art and culture. I am therefore very pleased that Region Västerbotten annually recognises and supports some of the county's creators in their work," said Nina Björby (S) chairman of the Culture Committee at Region Västerbotten, in a press release when the 2020 fellows were announced.
