Musikdr\u00f6mmen, headed by Gustav Frisk, is one of the local companies exhibiting at the Ume\u00e5 Guitar Show at Ume\u00e5 Folkets Hus on 4-5 May. Musikdr\u00f6mmen was started by 26-year-old Gustav Frisk in 2022 and offers courses in music production. The company was started when Gustav participated in the business incubator eXpression Ume\u00e5's startup programme eXpress. Since then, Gustav has been building his company and has already completed two rounds of his training for 10 participants.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Having the opportunity to showcase my business at Ume\u00e5 Guitarshow means a lot to me and my company. I reach a large part of the primary target group during the two days of the fair and my hope is of course that after this I have another round of courses fully subscribed, says Gustav Frisk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Mr Leif Jakobsson<\/strong>, General Manager of the Ume\u00e5 Guitar Show<\/a> welcomes new and young entrepreneurs to the arena and says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For us who organise the fair, it feels important to highlight local companies, that they are also start-ups, active in our industry and can add something to our target group feels important and good!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The music dream started after Gustav finished his studies in music production at Ume\u00e5 University. He recognised then and there that there was a lack of a similar education for an older target group of people interested in music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a gap in the market for this type of business, and given that Ume\u00e5 is a cultural city with a wide range of music and interest in music, it felt right to invest in this type of business, continues Gustav Frisk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The programme is designed to be completed in a shorter period of time (eight weeks) and without general prior knowledge, but obviously for people with a genuine interest in music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me, it is important that technology is not an obstacle but a tool for creating your own music. With these prerequisites, I have built the programme, which today is partly carried out through physical meetings at Triango Studios<\/a><\/strong> in central Ume\u00e5 and partly through digital meetings. \"The collaboration with Triango Studios has facilitated the realisation of the training and will continue, but my goal is to be able to offer a purely digital course offering in the future, in order to reach a wider geographical market,\" says Gustav Frisk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Gustav Frisk is a trained music producer at Solviks Folkh\u00f6gskola and at Ume\u00e5 University. Under the name \"Hicksu\", part of Gustav's own artistic activities, he sings and writes on other people's songs. Something that has given him participation in over 1 million streams on Spotify. He also sings covers that are marketed via his own Youtube channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Ume\u00e5 Guitarshow:<\/strong>
Ume\u00e5 Guitarshow, is a fair in Ume\u00e5 with musical instruments and music making. Here you'll find everything from hand-built guitars to amplifiers, mics, pedals, software and people interested in music. Over two days, you'll have the opportunity to meet manufacturers, check out new products and services, and mingle with like-minded people. The fair is organised by Sweden Guitarworks AB. This year's fair has around 40 exhibitors and is expected to attract around 1000 visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
