On Thursday evening, the 2018 Ume\u00e5 Business Awards took place and the eXpression Ume\u00e5 company Sisters in Law was nominated for Young Entrepreneur of the Year. In tough competition with Mowida and DigiPartner, it was Sisters in Law who won the fine prize.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sisters in Law is today Sweden's leading influencer in weddings and in co-creation with its clients, the company is building a strong and dynamic ecosystem. Zanna Metzer and Kristina Grahn are the entrepreneurs behind the company and they lead the company's path forward with great drive.<\/p>\n

- \"It feels great to receive this award and it's proof that we're doing good things,\" says Zanna Metzer, Editor-in-Chief of the company's blog and magazine.<\/p>\n

Sisters in Law has taken the first step in challenging today's business models and the company faces an exciting journey of strong national and international expansion. The company's products include Sweden's largest wedding blog, two brands that design and sew wedding apparel, and a wedding magazine.<\/p>\n

- We challenge existing business models by linking multiple businesses through co-creation. Over the years, we have collaborated with strong entrepreneurs and brands from Ume\u00e5 such as SoSo, Rivia Sports and Johanna N, continues Kristina Grahn, designer for the own brand Ellen Marie Bridal.<\/p>\n

During the year, the company has opened its own studio on Sveagatan in Ume\u00e5, expanded nationally and opened stores and created exciting collaborations with innovative store concepts located in A locations in Stockholm. They have also expanded internationally through their magazine where they highlight their partners.<\/p>\n

Winning motivation<\/h2>\n

The Young Entrepreneurs of the Year challenge traditional concepts with new style and design. They use digital platforms to create a new business model. But most importantly, they are using their own channels and collaborations to inspire the world to get married in a slightly different way. The Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2018 is Sisters in Law.<\/em><\/p>\n

In Ume\u00e5, trust and innovation are building blocks for the development of the city. Sisters in Law exemplifies this foundation, building their business concept on collaboration and innovative business models within traditional industries. Using digital, analogue and physical communication, they challenge traditional retail and inspire their community with their products, texts and events.
