On Thursday 14 November, the business incubator eXpression Ume\u00e5 will inaugurate the new eXpression Pop-in space in the MVG gallery together with creators and entrepreneurs. During the inauguration, these collaborations will be presented through talks and music performances. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

eXpression pop-in has been prototyped\ntogether with students from Ume\u00e5 University during a 12-hour\nworkshop led by Anna Parry, Proto Projects. The prototypes were then handed over\nto Maria \u00d6stensson, \u00d6stensson Design Studio and now eXpression\nPop-in is ready for Ume\u00e5's creative industries to create exciting new collaborations,\nproducts and services, test new business models and strengthen their\nbrands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is unique that an incubator for the artistic and creative industries takes place in the city centre and in a gallery. We have started from the design process together with students from the School of Design, the School of Architecture and the School of Economics and it is fantastic that our creators, designers from Proto Project and \u00d6stensson's Design Studio work together with students and develop innovative concepts, an environment that is inspiring, creative, safe and based on a sustainability mindset for the future city centre, Marlene Johansson, CEO, eXpression Ume\u00e5.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Already on the opening day, Pia Stylist and Co take the stage together\nwith their partners to show combinations of rentals,\nsale and lending of clothes in combination with hairdressing treatments, style\nand eyewear advice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pia is one of the many exciting examples of companies and creators who will be working in the eXpression Pop-in. The ambition is to try out new concepts, explore collaboration and thereby contribute to retail and urban development, says Annakarin Nyberg, programme manager of Future Retail Lab.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

With\ncreative conversations between Johan Bj\u00f6rn\nfrom MURAL Architecture, Jonas Sandstr\u00f6m who runs Nimble:BI, Karin Bj\u00f6rk from\ndesign by bj\u00f6rk and Maria \u00d6stensson \u00d6stensson Design Studio, we get to listen\nthe possibilities that a surface like eXpression Pop-in can create. This, together with\nmusic performance by Irene Moragas, we let the surface become a natural place for the\ncreative and artistic industries, a starting point for more collaborations and a\nstronger voice in the city centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inauguration\nmoderated by Annakarin Nyberg and food will be served from Tonka Bistro Caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
