During Design Week, eXpression Ume\u00e5 is taking place with a series of initiatives to draw attention to the strong local network of creative entrepreneurs and at the same time take the opportunity to celebrate six years as an incubator.  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>- Ume\u00e5 is today a hub for the cultural and creative industries and we are very proud to take place during this week together with creators from eXpression, with leading designers, architects, artists, musicians, filmmakers and fashion designers who are building strong ecosystems of collaboration to grow nationally and internationally, says <strong>Marlene Johansson<\/strong>, CEO of eXpression Ume\u00e5.<\/p>\n<p>The Design Week, which this year takes place between 31 August and 4 September, is organised in collaboration with the Design by Ume\u00e5 network, which consists of Ume\u00e5 Municipality, Ume\u00e5 School of Design, Ume\u00e5 School of Architecture, Ume\u00e5 School of the Arts, Bildmuseet, Artic Design of Sweden, RISE and eXpression Ume\u00e5. The aim of the collaboration is to promote and give visibility to the region's creative innovation power where co-creation, world-improvement, passion and progressiveness are natural ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>As one of Sweden's leading incubators for the artistic, cultural and creative industries, eXpression Ume\u00e5 wants to take the opportunity during Design Week to both celebrate and draw attention to creators who are constantly breaking new ground, challenging prevailing business models and, due to strong networks, have managed to resist when times have become tough.<\/p>\n<p>- We all face complex challenges today, not least because of the ongoing pandemic.
