The story behind the soapmakery started over 20 years ago when Malin Lindmark, the owner and founder of Malin i Ratan, began experimenting with her soap production. The new premises, which have tripled in size, co-locate the production area, warehouse, shop and event space.

The new premises mean that Malin i Ratan can accommodate much larger groups of visitors and organise workshops and tours.

Now we are becoming a really attractive tourist destination in the Umeå region," says Malin Lindmark.
