Contribute to a safer and more inclusive Umeå this summer!

If you are a student or run a company in design, interaction design or architecture, you can now apply for our new initiative Prototype Week. During seven August days, four teams will develop proposals on how Umeå can become a safer and more inclusive city. All participants will receive compensation. Prototype Week is organised together with Umeå Energi.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for designers and architects to be involved in influencing Umeå's urban development, while expanding their CV. We dare to promise that it will be challenging, fast-paced and really fun. Take the chance and apply today, says Frida Wimelius, project manager at eXpression.

From 22 to 30 August, participants will work in teams to take their ideas from concept to prototype. The project will focus on the development of a specific neighbourhood in Umeå, which will be announced later in the spring.

The final product should be able to integrate smart technologies from Umeå Energi while making the city safer and more inclusive.

All participants receive an allowance of SEK 7,000.

The deadline for applications is 12 May.
