Future events brings together the music and events industry

The first edition of Future Events will be launched tomorrow by Homerun Festivals, which organises Brännbollsyran in Umeå. The idea is to bring together the music and event industry in the Nordic Region to find out how to create better events in the future. eXpression's Annakarin Nyberg moderates the day together with Gina Dirawi.

Future Events is about developing the event industry, raising the quality of all types of events while lowering their environmental impact. In other words: becoming better and more efficient. To achieve this, we must work in new ways, with new ideas and with new technology, but exactly how this will happen is unclear. This is why we organise Future Events," says David Arkhult, festival director of the Homerun Festival.

The programme ranges from the music and event industry to urban development, tech and the green transition. Speakers include Per Sundin, CEO of the Pophouse Entertainment group, Paulina Modlitba, thought-leader in technology and innovation and Jenny Hermanson, CEO of Spotify in the Nordics.

Future Events is for anyone who works professionally with events and organising, but also for those who do it occasionally, as part of their job, or feel that they should meet their customers or citizens more often in this way.

Gina Dirawi will moderate the day and eXpression's Annakarin Nyberg will lead a breakout session on urban development through collaboration.

Through collaboration between cities, business and culture, we create dynamic neighbourhoods that thrive, pulsate and attract people to live and work. It is important that we stop and discuss how we create more attractive communities, not least when everyone's eyes and ears are currently drawn to the wave of neo-industrialisation that is sweeping across our part of the country," says Dr. Jansson. Annakarin Nybergbusiness developer at eXpression Umeå.
