Creative Norrland re-enters Utopia

Creative Norrland re-enters Utopia

On 3-5 June, Kreativa Norrland will take place in Utopia for the second time. For three days, the gallery will be filled with local creativity, new design and ideas for the city of the future.

Experience the breadth of the cultural and creative industries as companies from the region showcase products and services ranging from design, fashion, game development, arts and crafts and more. You can buy, learn and be inspired by new ideas, locally produced works and future solutions.

There will be shops, workshops, exhibitions and the chance to meet the people behind the creative work.

Spring initiative - on site in Utopia

The results of this spring's activities within Kreativa Norrland will be displayed in the shop. Take part in the results of collaborations, workshops and design processes that have engaged both companies, creators and young co-creators.

Design of residual materials. What happens when designers collaborate with industry? During an intensive design sprint in Robertsfors, waste materials have been given a new lease of life as shapely objects. See the new product ideas in a brand new exhibition.

What does an inclusive city look like? During the spring, five design workshops have also explored how we can create public spaces in Umeå that strengthen security, movement, health and trust. The work has been done in collaboration between young people, property owners, planners and creators - with inspiration from the New European Bauhaus.

Don't miss the summer pop-up at Utopia on 3-5 June.
Open during the gallery's regular opening hours.

The Kreativa Norrland pop-up is part of a project with the same name. The project is a collaboration between RISE, eXpression Umeå and Balticgruppen, with support from Umeå municipality, Region Västerbotten and the European Regional Development Fund.
