After almost a month of intensive work, this year's Summer eXpression participants are ready to showcase their results. On Thursday 26 June, we invite the public to a vernissage where eleven designers will present their design prototypes created around the theme "What happens when we design for peace, quiet and reflection?"
Since 2 June, participants have been working on their projects, refining their business ideas and developing their prototypes, from first sketch to final concept. During the process, they have been guided by eXpression's coaches and industry experts and the focus has been on sustainability, creativity and entrepreneurship. Waste materials from the timber industry, residual streams and old craft methods have been given new life through the designers' ideas.
- "It's amazing to see how quickly the participants develop when they get to work practically with both design and entrepreneurship," says Frida Wimelius.
- And the collaboration with Svensk Form also gives us the opportunity to place their work in a larger context where design plays an important role in both innovation and sustainable social development," adds Fanny Lindén i who, together with Frida, is behind this year's edition of Summer eXpression.
We now welcome media, partners and design enthusiasts to see their work, meet the designers and be inspired by incredible design ideas.
