Nanny Ålanderphotographer, poet and web designer makes a double debut with both a book and a film. The book Förbjuden kärlek was released on 9 March and the film of the same name will premiere later in 2023. Nanny participated in eXpression Umeå's incubator programme 2019 - 2020.
The book tells the story of two women who love each other in a world and time when it was not allowed. We follow the poet's struggle against the homophobic voices in society. From pain, despair and anger to hope and courage. Courage to be who she is and courage to create change in society.
- It saddens me to think of all the people who have suffered and are suffering, who are being abused, displaced, imprisoned or killed because of their sexual orientation. With the book and the film, I want to spread the message that all love is good love," he said. Nanny Ålander.
One of the poems in the book "Jag vill" has been set to music by Joel Andell Hansén and can be listened to, for example, at spotify and youtube. The music is performed by Joel himself together with Dotty Blue.
The book on which the film of the same name is based reflects a time in 1920s Sweden when homosexuality was a criminal offence.
