The programme exploring design for wellbeing and health has completed two productive days focusing on how urban development can promote both physical and mental wellbeing. The first day focused on the integration of nature into urban environments and the second day on how designing environments can promote physical activity and health.
The 13th of March started with presentations where participants shared their visions followed by exploring how design influences happiness and well-being in urban development.
Understanding and applying design for health and well-being requires an in-depth analysis of both physical and psychological aspects, emphasised Felix Wink from the Västerbotten County Handicrafts Association.

The second day, Friday 14 March, prototyped spatial aspects and designing environments that naturally encourage movement. It also featured an inspirational lecture by Mural Architecture exploring further dimensions of how design can promote physical activity for young people.
Creating dynamic and playful urban environments can dramatically improve people's health and well-being in urban space, shared Kim Granberg and Johan Björn from Mural Architecture.
