Elizabet Westerlund sharpens her business idea through NEST

Elizabet Westerlund, founder of the body-inclusive and sustainable fashion company Shameless Design, will participate in NEST in spring 2025. NEST, which stands for Nordic Entrepreneurship Support Track, is a platform that aims to support and develop startups in sustainable industries through an intensive bootcamp and ongoing business development.

It felt great to be accepted to NEST! The reason I applied was mainly to get an opportunity to meet new people in my industry, which I already got during the bootcamp. What I hope to get out of it in the future is to get help to further sharpen my business idea, says Elizabet Westerlund.

The bootcamp, which took place in Borås on 13-14 March, offered participants workshops, lectures and networking opportunities. Participants also had the opportunity to share experiences and explore new collaborations, which is particularly important in niche industries such as sustainable textiles.

Elizabet also underlines the importance of initiatives like NEST for self-employed workers in specialised fields:

Being self-employed can be quite lonely, especially if you work in a niche like sustainable textiles. That's where I think NEST has an important function, to bring together companies in this industry. There is an incredible power in gathering people who are passionate about the same things, in one place.
