When many people start to slow down for summer

As many people start to slow down for the summer holidays, six creative companies have just started planning for this autumn's Formex interior design fair ✨- Yes, finally. I was already planning to exhibit at Formex in autumn 2020, so I've been waiting for a long time and I'm really looking forward to this," says Victoria Säker, one of the designers who will be exhibiting her products.The fair will be attended by national and international buyers, agents, wholesalers, producers and media from across the interior design industry, which is a great opportunity to gain exposure, do business and make new contacts. "I'm aiming to find a few retailers, but also make contacts with interior designers for future projects. Almost a year ago, Daria Chrobok decided to use LinkedIn as a platform for growth. It wasn't a foregone conclusion. At the time, she was struggling with social media and didn't have a good plan on how to move forward. Today, it's her main source of new business 👇- I didn't like social media in general but I wanted to tell others about my business and realised I needed to give it a go. After I really got to grips with it, my business got a big boost," says Daria Chrobok.Social media had never appealed to her before. A big part of it was the feeling of insecurity about putting yourself out there and taking space. That's why she was almost most surprised herself when she suddenly paid for a rather expensive LinkedIn online course.⭐️- It got to a point where I felt it was time to get help from an expert. I came across someone offering distance learning courses. She had something I wanted and I jumped at the chance. It turned out to be a stroke of luck," says Daria.🙌In the process, Daria realized that this social media thing was kind of fun. Stefan Eriksson is the Game Hub Umeå's new community manager and also eXpression's latest recruitment.In close cooperation with Umeå municipality, he will help support the established gaming industry in northern Sweden and create even better conditions for startups and indie developers.The game development industry is on the rise. New games and studios are emerging all the time and several of the established companies are growing like crazy. And yes, we're talking about northern Sweden.In cooperation with Umeå municipality, eXpression Umeå is now investing in increased support for the growing industry in the north, where Stefan Eriksson plays a central role. "It feels incredibly good to have finally landed in the middle of the games industry, something that was, after all, a childhood dream for me. Wow!! Check out the amazing products the eXpression design participants have created 🤩💥🙌⭐ VILJA is inspired by the sea and its vegetation. The sheer and in nature barely visible sea seal gets a place here together with the brilliant torch flower that grows in our northern coastland.⭐ The inspiration for the table GRÖNTJÄRN comes from a green little pond deep in the northern forests, a place my grandfather named Gröntjärn.⭐ PISTILL is a hanger on which you can hang your bag, jacket or your dressing gown. Or why not just let it be a sculpture on the wall!⭐ With the pot AVAN, Katarina wanted to bring the solid and robust cast iron into something modern but still with a design that doesn't go out of fashion.⭐ The material for the lampshade NÄSÅKER consists of a sheet of metal that has been exposed to the elements for many years. Markus' hope is that the lampshade will remind us all that there is always something beautiful in things that are allowed to age.⭐ The pattern "TALLSTIG" takes Emelie back to her childhood summers at her grandmother and grandfather's cottage in Anundsjö, Ångermanland. Through the pattern, she has wanted to highlight her heritage but above all the village's female craft tradition by embroidering the pine twigs using the technique known as Anundsjösöm. ⭐ With this lamp called LOPPAN, Elin wants to create a feeling of nostalgia that wants to encourage the inner child in you. The inspiration for the lamp comes from the shape of a paper rag that was folded in the schoolyard when you were a child. ⭐ FOLDING GREEN consists of a drinking glass, jug and tray/dish. The series is inspired by summer hikes along the mountain slopes in the Vindelfjällen.⭐ With the TIMELESS candlestick, Anna wants to reinforce the cosiness factor and the feel-good experience where the home becomes a place for recovery, rest and where well-being is the main focus.Did you miss the launch broadcast?
