High interest among architecture students to start their own business

On Friday 31 March, Umeå School of Architecture and Arkipelago hosted a labour market day. Students, companies and organisations were in place to meet, inform and make new contacts. eXpression participated during the day with the aim of meeting students with thoughts and considerations about starting and running their own company or who wanted to know more about the programmes offered through the incubator.

There were several of students who were interested and wanted to know more about our business development programmes, especially the Summer eXpression summer programme. It is clear that more and more students are aware of and want to get in touch with us," said Emil Hägglund, business coach and strategist at eXpression.

About the Archipelago

Arkipelago Sweden is the umbrella term for the collaboration launched in spring 2011 between architecture programmes in Lund, Karlskrona, Gothenburg, Stockholm and Umeå, with the Swedish Association of Architects as the main partner. The aim is to create different types of high-quality meeting places between students, companies and organisations linked to the profession. In addition to lectures, mingle events and workshops, Arkipelago holds annual labour market days in each city. These fairs are our main events and have become the most important meeting place between students and the industry.
