Between 26 May and 4 June, you can take part in a wide range of events that embrace design, culture and societal transformation. Open up to new ideas and be inspired by talented people who dare to challenge norms and traditional concepts. The initiative is supported by eXpression, Umeå Municipality, Umeå University and RISE.
The driving force behind what we call Umeå Design Week is the joint ambition of several organisations to contribute to the image of Umeå as a progressive region in design, culture and social transformation. It feels really good to be able to jump-start this year and that we in the organising group have managed to gather so many events under one umbrella. We want this to grow naturally from year to year.
