HUGÅ's Veranda in Hörnefors will soon open its doors with a shop and café, but already on 4 September a large autumn market will be held. The range of companies exhibiting is long and visitors will be offered everything from locally produced soaps, cheeses, iron and wooden sculptures and tin wire jewellery to wild-growing spices. During the market, refreshments will also be available on the veranda of the old historic sports hall in Hörnefors.
The interest in HUGÅ's Veranda is great, as is the desire for a gathering place with a café, plants, trade and garden services. To meet the great demand, HUGÅs Veranda is already opening up by organising the autumn market "Autumn at HUGÅ" and right now there are busy days for Stina Wallin and Catherine Berglund behind the initiative.
We are already opening this weekend with an autumn market with some 15 wonderful exhibitors. Market visitors can also satisfy their hunger and coffee cravings and rest their legs for a while on the veranda," says Stina Wallin.
We have big plans beyond the autumn market. To have been given the opportunity to take on our venerable sports house is a privilege - but also a great responsibility to shoulder! Expectations are high and we hope that our visitors will enjoy staying with us at HUGÅs Veranda," says Catherine Berglund.
The core business will be Catherine Berglund's flower shop, Members and partner Stina Wallin's garden design services and products via Norrträdgården. Both currently run their businesses separately and, through the HUGÅs Veranda venture, are moving in under a common brand and roof.
Bringing together our services and offerings under HUGÅs Veranda feels both exciting and natural. We work with plants, trade and garden services and the merger in the old sports hall is a dream come true," says Stina Wallin.
In the future, we will see a Christmas market at HUGÅ's Veranda and until then, intensive renovation and planning work is underway.
Catherine Berglund runs Formskaparna in Hörnefors, a flower shop that offers a carefully selected range for gardens, conservatories and balconies.
Stina Wallin has previously participated in eXpression's eXpression Design initiative, while Cathrine Berglund has participated in the eXpression Future Retail Lab accelerator programme.
