Kasimir Suter Winter has been named the Västerbotten winner of SKAPA Talang. His innovative solution, DIT Egnahem, focuses on sustainable construction and social benefits. The idea will now be developed together with Karina Suter Winter, as part of their joint company Parti Design.
Through the project YOUR own home Parti Design offers a self-build kit, based on the open source solution WikiHouse. With a strong focus on sustainable materials, energy efficiency and reduced transport, Parti Design wants to enable more people to build their own affordable homes.
The jury emphasises that the solution not only introduces sustainable innovation in the construction industry, but also creates societal benefits by promoting building conservation and increasing property owner engagement. They see great potential in Kasimir's work, highlighting in particular how the project can contribute to solutions for both the housing and climate crises.
With the win at the regional level, Kasimir now moves on to the national final of SKAPA Talang, where he has the chance to win another SEK 150,000.
