NATALIE CARRION DOES THE THEME SONG FOR ONE OF SVT'S MOST POPULAR PROGRAMMES RIGHT NOW

The 22 year old artist and songwriter Natalie Carrion who is now in the limelight, has together with the musician Jonas Strandgård made the theme song for one of SVT's most popular programs "Sorgen mitt i bygden"

-"It's been an incredibly exciting and fine job. People see me when I'm out playing as a performer, but I do an incredible amount of music beyond that and this job was unique.

Sorgen mitt i bygden is a Swedish documentary series that shows how small communities are affected when the worst happens. How people can be helped to move on and also have the courage to dare to live. The first two episodes are about how 50 young people from Ängskolan in Skene were looking forward to a skiing trip to Jämtland. But it all ended in disaster. In the series, we hear from affected young people and parents about the grief that shook an entire village and how they have moved on.

-It's a programme that I find hard to believe leaves anyone indifferent, but the series is produced in such a beautiful way that even though it reflects a lot of sadness, it also gives you the opportunity to feel joy and gratitude.

To have the opportunity, through text and melody, to put both words and melody to something that is so difficult, it is an exciting challenge and also a trust that I have chosen to manage well. A dream for me as a musician where I just get to go into a creative bubble and just deliver," says Carrion.

With their music, Natalie and Jonas Strandgård not only succeed in touching, they also put a northern touch where Sami roots are included.

Two episodes of the series are now available on SVT Play. In May, the entire series will be broadcast.
