Her glittery pop pearls are set to spread across the world. 23-year-old artist Natalie Carrion knows what she wants and is today well on her way to making a serious impact.
- I know where I'm going and what I need to do to get there. For me it is important to it will be right based on my vision, and when it is, I really give it my all. Then nothing can stop me.

Natalie Carrion is a driven performer with big ambitions who has been recognised for her distinctive voice, personal lyrics and surprising elements of joke. In 2017 she debuted with the soft whip-pop album 'A Song of Life' and this year released the EP Banana River. On the EP she has developed a more modern pop sound which she performs in English. One of the songs from the EP, Love can be so hard, is currently being played on P3 Swedish Radio and NRK P3.

Natalie Carrion, who is enjoying great success in Norway while attracting the attention of British and American media, has also attracted international attention. This spring, however, she is focusing on home audiences and gigs in Sweden. She also has a new goal in mind, the Melodifestivalen 2020.
- I'm currently writing new music with the ambition that one of those songs will carry me all the way to the final in the Globe. To be able to stand there and show my passion in front of the Swedish people, that would be incredibly powerful," she says.

Natalie Carrion has established herself as an outspoken and energetic performer. With her voice, she is taking her place in a tough music industry and pushing her career forward.
- It's a tough business to navigate, so it's important to trust your own instincts and dare to go your own way. There are so many opinions about what is right and what is good. But if you let others lead the way, it's easy to get lost," says Natalie Carrion.

Facts

Natalie Carrion grew up in Lycksele and lives in Umeå, with roots in both Sápmi and the Caribbean. In the last two years she has released her debut album En sång om livet and the EP Banana River. She has also, among other things, hosted SVT's youth election programme, appeared on Swedish and Norwegian television, opened the live international medal ceremony at the World Ski Championships in Östersund and created the leitmotif for SVT documentary Sorgen mitt i bygden. In May, Natalie Carrion will be back with new music and on 12 April she will play on SVT's Go'kväll.
