Stylist Anna Sehlin is driven by a rich interior

Interior designer Anna Sehlin is a trained visual merchandiser and stylist. Since 2018, she has been running a company offering homestyling, interior design and finishing services to private clients as well as organisations and companies. Her inspiration comes from nature and the peacefulness of life. Currently she is a current participant in eXpression Design.

Tell us about your company and your creativity.

I have been running my business since 2018 with a passion for interior design and the visual. I am a trained visual merchandiser/communicator and interior designer/stylist.

I offer homestyling, interior design and finishing services to private and business clients.

How would you describe your creative expression?

With my interior design style, I want to communicate a relaxed and sustainable approach. For me, it has always been natural to use nature and be inspired by the natural. I am also inspired by different styles and beautiful shapes in all their simplicity - an expression that you never get tired of. Above all, it is peaceful and harmonious interior design that can live through all trends.

Can you give any clue as to what we will see from you at the launch in May?

With my product, I want to enhance the cosiness factor and the feel-good experience, where the home becomes a place for recovery and rest, where well-being is the main focus.

What do you hope to convey with the product?

The process from my idea to the finished product has, on the whole, gone smoothly so far, I think. I chose a local contractor who seemed knowledgeable at our first meeting and I was so inspired and at ease in his workshop. As a person, I've never liked to mess things up unnecessarily so my first thought with my product was that it should be simple and timeless.

Look out for the eXpression Design launch week on 23-27 May.

Briefly about eXpression Design:
Over eight months, selected talents take a design from idea to prototype and on to a finished product, made locally, in the eXpression Design programme. The programme is a successful cross-county initiative between eXpresison in Umeå and the creative industry network High Coast Creative in the High Coast. So far, 32 companies in the creative industry have taken their product idea from sketch to reality with local manufacturing, i.e. locally produced design in Västernorrland and Västerbotten. A norm-breaking initiative that shows that you can work with design, no matter where you live.
