"I know that many people, like me, had a dream of moving there as a teenager. As a proud Norwegian, it's special to write a tribute to Stockholm, but here's my northern flirtation with the big city."

In a difficult and uncertain time, our dreams are the most beautiful things we have to hold on to. Natalie Carrion has taken this opportunity to write a song in honour of the place that many people move to with a desire for something bigger and better: Stockholm. She sings about the city as a meeting place for all kinds of dreams and hopes, despite "long traffic jams and expensive rents".

With its cheerful production and Natalie's expectant vocals, "Stockholm" captures the tingling naivety of arriving in a new place. It's a captivatingly straightforward pop song in Swedish that contrasts with Natalie's previous music where she often intertwines her Sami and Caribbean roots. "Stockholm", which Natalie produced with Johan Wållberg, is a beautiful comfort in the midst of a difficult time with its hopeful tone.

This is what Natalie says about the song:

"I have chosen to emphasise the naivety, the tingle and the idyllic image of a fantastic summer town that collects memories of laughter and long summer nights, because there is something wonderful about just staying in that feeling. With a pandemic devouring our thoughts, it can be nice to close your eyes for a moment, dream away and feel the tingle again."

About Natalie Carrion: 24-year-old Natalie Carrion made her debut in 2017 with the album 'A Song About Life', which demonstrated her personal songwriting and ability to translate big emotions into powerful music. Last year saw the release of the acclaimed EP 'Banana River', which was described as 'playful and rhythmic pop' by music website Popmuzik. In addition to new music, Natalie is also working on the documentary series "URBI - Gör det, för f*n!". to be shown on Norwegian NRK this autumn, where viewers will follow her growing career as an artist.
