New game launched to boost well-being

During December, BRILJERA, a game developed by Anette Sjöbacka, will be launched with the aim of increasing people's well-being. Mental ill health is on the rise and studies show that we are feeling worse today, which not only costs human suffering but also affects the global economy. Through social community, participation, meaningfulness and physical activity, BRILJERA contributes to increased well-being and, in the long term, to a sustainable society.

BRILJERA is an inclusive game where everyone is a winner. The game is a way of meeting and laying the foundations for closeness and security between people. When participants meet friends and family or make new acquaintances, BRILJERA helps them to get closer to each other. Meeting around a game like BRILJERA is a simple way to increase people's health and well-being.

Creator Anette Sjöbacka, a licensed occupational therapist and coach and founder of the game BRILJERA, has been working for several years to guide and coach people. She meets people suffering from mental illness on a daily basis and believes that well-being can be influenced through social community, participation, meaningfulness and physical activity.

-BRILJERA wants us to see ourselves and each other exactly as we are. If BRILJERA can make a positive difference to someone, it's worth everything - if we feel good, we do good things, Anette says.

The game encourages participants to listen to themselves and others and it is thoughts, feelings and actions that determine what happens during the game. The game contains curious, playful and thought-provoking short texts suitable for all occasions and allows participants to be inspired by the environment they are in, making each play session unique and anything can happen.

The game will be sold by Anette via www.briljeramera.se and after the turn of the year there are also www.worldofboardgames.com.

Already during the coming weekend, 18 - 19 December, BRILJERA will be released and available for sale in the eXpression Pop-in in the MVG gallery.
