PRODUCTS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE LAUNCHED ON THE DESIGN SQUARE

On Wednesday 25 September it was time for the 10 young designers of the year from Summer eXpression 19 to launch unique design products in limited edition at Designtorget in Stockholm.

-Our ambition is that after the programme students will feel stronger, both in their role as a young designer and as an entrepreneur. Therefore, the collaboration with Designtorget will be an important stepping stone, says Barbro Renkel senior business coach eXpression Umeå.

The launch was inaugurated with a press conference where the media were given the opportunity to interview the design students, followed by a vernissage. This was the launch of the products in the Design Square shop and website. The products will be on sale until the end of the year.

-We want to give visibility to young designers and talented producers who are found all over Sweden. Our ambition is that the young designers from eXpression will be given the opportunity to showcase their products, create new contacts and collaborations that pave the way for both new innovations and companies, says Josefine Wikström Nilsson, PR & Marketing Manager, Designtorget.

In this year's brief, design students have been tasked with developing a product that helps people live more sustainable lives. Focusing on everyday objects and creativity in close collaboration with local manufacturers, the products are now being launched in a limited edition exclusively for Designtorget.
