Thea, Nelly and Vera to Design Talents at Formex

Thea, Nelly and Vera to Design Talents at Formex

On 27 August, the doors will open to Formex, the Nordic region's foremost arena for interior design, where new design will be given a prominent platform. This time, three young and promising designers who have all attended Summer eXpression - Thea Lundahl, Nelly Axelsson and Vera Bensch - will take their place at the fair. They have also received the prestigious recognition of being part of Formex Design Talents, which is one of the fair's most high-profile features and serves as a springboard for future designers.

"It feels very inspiring and very exciting to participate in Formex. I look forward to making contacts within the industry and being inspired to new ways of thinking about design," says Nelly Axelsson, which has created a wall-mounted display for coffeebooks.

Vera Bensch, Nelly Axelsson and Thea Lundahl have all been selected to showcase their products in the Design Talen area, one of Formex's most exciting and innovative features. Out of hundreds of applications, they are three of the 25 designers who have been honoured to showcase their work at the fair.

It is a great honour to have been selected! It feels incredibly fun to be part of the energy and creativity that flows at Formex, says Nelly Axelsson

Fanny Lindén, is responsible for Summer eXpression and has supported the designers throughout their creative journey, from idea to finished product:

Their products reflect the future of design - sustainable, functional and with a strong aesthetic vision. It is clear that the designers are passionate about their work, and we look forward to following their journey in the market," says Fanny

Vera BenschAbrovinsch

Vera Bensch has developed a functional piece of jewellery "Abrovinsch" that allows one's valuables to stay safely on the inside of a tote bag or purse while acting as a personal accessory. It is easily attached without making holes in the fabric and on the outside a new structure is formed that creates an exciting and stylistic meeting between fabric and stainless steel. The concept is based on the fact that Abrovinshen enhances the impression and extends the use of what is already owned, but is also sustainably made with, among other things, leather from production waste.

Nelly Axelsson has designed a wall-mounted book holder "Ark" that displays the inside of books as motifs on the wall. It provides an opportunity to quickly and easily curate the wall with your own library. Sustainable production and long product life have been in focus during the design process. Ark is made of stainless spring steel, and locally produced in Bredaryd, Småland. The design minimises production waste and is solidly manufactured for a long life. Ark can also be recycled when it finally reaches its end.

Thea LundahlDuo Flex Bag

Thea Lundahl has developed the Duo Flex Bag, an expression of smart, simple and functional design. It offers a new way of organising and streamlining space in the home. It can be used for everything from sorting waste to storing children's toys and is intended to be a natural part of the user's everyday life.
