Young Startup Day celebrates young entrepreneurs

On 30 March, Väven opens the doors for the seventh edition of Young Startup - the event that inspires and encourages young entrepreneurs in the region to want and dare to invest in their business idea. The day is a collaboration between eXpression, BIC Factory, Ung företagsamhet, Länstyrelsen i Västerbotten, Uminova Innovation, Presto and Umeå municipality..

Getting the chance to support young entrepreneurs is both inspiring and incredibly important. As cliché as it sounds, we are meeting the business leaders and innovators of the future. Our task is to be there to highlight the cultural and creative industries and hopefully inspire more people to invest in the sector," says Mr K. Emil Hägglund, strategist and business coach at eXpression Umeå.

During Young Startup Day, the winners of the 2023 JA Championships will also be crowned. The winners will have the chance to represent Västerbotten at the Swedish Championship in Young Entrepreneurship.

The event, now in its seventh year, is free of charge and it is possible to participate on site or to follow the entire programme live on the YouTube channel of Young Enterprise (it can also be watched afterwards).

On stage will be the award-winning serial entrepreneur, investor and writer. Siduri Poli stand. Siduri is co-founder of one of Sweden's largest and most important entrepreneurship hubs, Changers Hub, which works to democratise success and entrepreneurship.

There will also be a panel discussion with the Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalists: Fredrik Sahl, Alex Prowse and Tina Vesterlund. The winner will be announced the week before, on 23 March, during the Umeå Gala.
