On 2 July, twelve designers are hosting a private viewing in the entrance hall of the School of Architecture in Umeå. For four weeks, they have been working intensively on the theme of transformation and textile waste streams – and the private viewing is the occasion on which the results will be shown for the first time.
Throughout June, participants have been developing products and circular business concepts with the support of national experts in redesign and sustainable textile production, with links to Swedish School of Textiles in Borås and Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg.
"It’s always a powerful moment when the participants get to show what they’ve achieved. They’ve worked hard and pushed themselves, and that will be evident in what they’re exhibiting," says Fanny Lindén, Programme Manager for Summer eXpression.
This year’s programme is being organised in collaboration with Svensk Form and with support from the Kamprad Family Foundation.
Time: Thursday 2 July, 4–6 pm
Location: The Entrance Hall, School of Architecture, Umeå
