Here are the participants who will attend Summer eXpression 2026

Twelve designers have been accepted to Summer eXpression. Over four weeks, participants will develop their ideas on the theme of Transformation based on textile waste streams. With the support of national experts, the aim is to create circular solutions that can become the products of tomorrow.

More people than ever applied for this year's round really shows the commitment to sustainability and circularity among young designers," says Fanny Lindén, Programme Manager for Summer eXpression.

What happens when we see residual material as a resource instead of waste? For four weeks, we explore how textile waste streams can be transformed into something new through form, function and creativity. The focus is on giving materials a new life and letting ideas take shape in the meeting between design, production and experimentation.

"New this year is our collaboration with the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås and Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg. This gives us the opportunity to utilise Sweden's leading expertise in the field of redesign and circular textile production," says Fanny Lindén

Summer eXpression is made possible through a unique collaboration with Svensk Form and the Kamprad Family Foundation. Together, we want to create better conditions for young designers in Sweden to develop their design methodology and innovation skills. This will also increase understanding of circular production and how we design for the future.
