In collaboration with UMEÅ FASHION WEEK, Uminova eXpression organises a screening of the film ADVANCED STYLE

30 September at 12 noon, Black Box, Sliperiet, Artistic Campus.

Advanced Style is a documentary about seven unique New Yorkers; older original women who let personal style, dignity and spirit guide the way they age. Drawn from Ari Seth Cohen's blog of the same name, the film paints personal and colourful portraits of independent, stylish women aged 62-95.

The women challenge conventional ideas about beauty and ageing in a culture obsessed with beauty.

The film will be preceded by a short introduction by Linnéa Therese Dimitriou, Artistic Director of Sliperiet.

The film is in English with Swedish subtitles, 69 minutes. Audio loop available.
