North Chapter editor of The Book of the Weave

Anna Granlund has been the editor and writer together with Pondus, which has project managed the book.

A great fun mission! says Anna Granlund at North Chapter. I did all the interviews in the book and wrote several of the texts, which are listed in the book's index.

In the book, you will learn about the long journey of the creation of Umeå - from Umeå's history as a shipping and railway town, to a modern cultural community, from the early ideas of the city's development and visions of new meeting places, to bold untested partnerships, from the architects' interpretation of Umeå as a city in the first challenging sketches, to the demanding time aspect and the record-short but highly skilled construction process. Väven opened in November 2014, the same year Umeå was named European Capital of Culture.

The book is published by Väven i Umeå AB and distributed by North Chapter, so it is available in all the usual channels, at adlibris.com and bokus.com.
