Every year we update the Summer eXpressions logo, which we see as an opportunity to promote local entrepreneurs. The idea is to let the logo live, gestate and add value by building a story behind the identity.
This year, illustrator Jessica Arevärn, through her company Persikamy, has been given free rein to create an interpretation of the logo. The key words in the commission were high creativity and with the ability to spread joy and curiosity.
- I have focused on building blocks of various kinds and gradients. Mixed about each other with clear blackness as a base. The circles with the cut-out centre flirt with the shape of the nine in the number nineteen. And the Pantone colour living coral gives us a clear indication of the colour trend that awaits us in 2019," says Jessica.
She continues:

Summer eXpression is an intensive summer programme within eXpression where ten young talents get the chance to design and go from idea to sale. The focus is on everyday objects and creativity in close cooperation with local producers.
