Last week, Umeå creators Frida Hammar and Erica Dahlgren were notified that they had been awarded the Artists' Council's project grant for their project Ganska Hund.
The project is a collaboration between illustrator Frida Hammar and writer and podcast creator Erica Dahlgren. The grant enables the creators to work on a new children's book that highlights the process from conflict, reconciliation and acceptance that can occur when a younger sibling starts testing words against an older sibling and patience eventually runs out.
The basis for the project comes from a text Erica has written previously, which will now be turned into a book. A key part of the work for the creators will be to weigh up which parts are best explained through Frida's illustrations and which parts should remain in text form.

The book is expected to be ready in October 2021.
