Umeå currently has four cycling clubs with a total of about 800 members. Cycling is growing in popularity and, amazingly, this applies to all ages.

Tuesday 10 March at 18:00. The "Two Wheeled Tuesdays" cycling event will start again. An initiative in Umeå to get more people to become club cyclists. 

-"We invest a lot in children's and youth sports in Sweden and that's great. With these Tuesdays, we want to show that there is every possibility to continue with sport throughout life with cycling. For those who have passed high school, the bicycle is usually already a tool they use. Why not use it even more? We have an entire university of young adults, a city with several working adults, visitors to the city, etc. who may not all want to exercise indoors. Through these meetings, we hope to have many exciting encounters and give clubs a space to de-dramatize and show how easy it is to join. Says Petter Thylin, CEO of Tapas.

Umeå's four cycling clubs are Gimonäs CK, Obbola IK, Cykelintresset and Stöcke TS Järnet.
