After a year's break, Summer eXpression will start again on 7 June, giving eight young creators and designers the chance to turn their ideas into finished products over seven weeks. New this year is that digital meetings will be combined with physical meetings. 
- We are happy that the popular programme is going ahead and it feels like we have found a really good set-up," says Barbro Renkel, CEO of eXpression Umeå. 

Finally, we can announce the return of the popular Summer eXpression programme. As restrictions put an end to last year's edition, the programme has been developed and adapted to be held digitally - but there will be smaller physical meetings in Curiosum's workshops and elsewhere. 

During seven intensive weeks, participants learn critical skills related to the essentials of successfully taking a design idea to a finished product. As usual, the programme takes place in close cooperation with producers from the Umeå region. 

Summer eXpression is a fast track for young creators. Along the way, participants get the chance to develop their entrepreneurial skills while learning about new production methods. It's a unique programme that has become popular, so it feels particularly good that we've found a way to implement it safely," says eXpression Umeå's CEO. Barbro Renkel, who is also responsible for Summer eXpression.

Summer eXpression kicks off on 7 June and in August there will be a vernissage where the creators will showcase and sell the products developed during the programme. 

As part of a collaboration between Designtorget and eXpression Umeå, all products will be available for sale during the autumn - via their webshop.
