Do you have a business idea in sustainable fashion?

Do you have a business idea in sustainable fashion?

In that case, you've come to the right place - the world needs it! Now is your chance to get support from the NEST project to develop your idea at a bootcamp in Stockholm on 16-17 March. Apply today!

The NEST Bootcamp consists of two intensive days of workshops, lectures and networking. It also includes a dinner where partners, industry and other inspirers in Swedish fashion participate to discuss how we together can transform the textile and fashion industry to become more sustainable.

Applications open today, 7 December.

We need as many smart people as possible to contribute to change in everything from logistics to production and design. The whole chain needs to be drastically innovated. That said, if you have an idea that touches any part of the chain in any way, we want you to submit your application to NEST," says Per Vågebrant, business developer and head of NEST at eXpression Umeå.

The NEST bootcamp is for those who have a business idea that can contribute in some way to transforming the textile industry to become more sustainable - from the creation of new materials or sustainable dyeing techniques to retail logistics solutions and the collection of textiles that are no longer used.

The textile sector is an industry with an extremely large footprint on our global environment, accounting for 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Up to 90 million tonnes of waste are created and 80 billion cubic metres of water are consumed each year in the production of clothing alone. A change is not only desirable, but absolutely necessary for the survival of our planet. Alarmist? Yes, and that's where you come in," says Per Vågebrent.

Startups and entrepreneurs attending the bootcamp can then apply to receive free business development in preparation for the NEST pitch final, where selected companies will have the chance to pitch to a distinguished panel of judges. The winner will be awarded a scholarship of €75,000 from TEKO.
