The architects Kim Granberg and Johan Björn, together with Generation Pep, have developed a tailor-made movement path that both encourages students to move more and serves as an educational tool for improving eating habits.
We have created a playful and fun material for children that is easy for educators to use in everyday life," says Johan Björn.
MURAL Architecture's new walking track is part of Generation Pep's initiative to promote better eating habits in primary school children. The initiative relates to the Nordic Nutrition Recommendations, which state that all children should eat at least 400-500 grams of fruit, vegetables and berries per day.
The collaboration has involved extensive preparatory work, with six schools serving as references when designing the course. This spring, it will be made available for the first time to schools around the country.
We were really happy when Generation Pep got in touch and wanted to create a collaboration. Our values of mobility combined with simplicity and joy are perfectly in line with what they want to achieve," says Johan Björn and continues.
We wanted to create something that was accessible and easy to use. We tried to combine the recommendations of 400-500 grams of fruit and vegetables per day with our own concept.
The fact that MURAL Architecture is now hooking up with Generation Pep and launching the new motion track means that schools can purchase the product at a favourable price.
We know that schools don't have it so great, so it feels like a good thing to be able to offer this through Generation Pep, concludes Johan Björn.
