Guide - Stakeholder analysis

At eXpression Umeå, we often talk about how important it is to verify your value proposition to create a sustainable business. A first step in this can be to inventory the people and organisations that are affected by your business idea and then structure them.

Do this:

  1. Start by listing all the stakeholders affected by your business idea in no particular order.
  2. Now it's time to structure these. Draw the model below.
  3. Place the stakeholders from your list in the model.
  4. Well done! You have now structured your stakeholders.
    A tip for the next step is to expand on the description of stakeholders in the "Stay close" box and then get in touch with us and we might be able to help you turn your business idea into reality.
In this model, stakeholders are placed according to the parameters Interest in your business idea and Influence on your business idea. They are thus placed in four boxes, "Monitor", "Keep Informed", "Keep Satisfied" and "Keep Close".
