Umeå company innovates - and aims internationally

AFFÄRSLIV24. The Umeå company is now expanding its operations. In addition, they are investing in internationalisation.

In autumn 2017, the wedding boutique Studio Sisters in Law opened in the former Kopparhatten premises in Umeå. The company is run by founders Kristina Grahn and Zanna Metzer, who also run one of Sweden's largest wedding blogs.

They are now expanding their business to include the acceptance of second-hand wedding dresses, which they will pass on to a new customer for a fixed brokerage fee.

- It's good for your wallet and the environment. We like to think sustainably," says Zanna Metzer.

However, they do not accept all types of wedding dresses.

- We make a selection so that they fit into the existing range," says Metzer, explaining that bohemian and rustic are two key words.

At the end of September, Metzer and Grahn will travel to Paris to shoot the company's own collection of tulle skirts.

- It will be a first step in our internationalisation.
