Workshop series for creative startups

Workshop series for creative startups

We're kicking off the spring round of our popular workshop series for creative startups.

Are you a student or researcher who has just started or is thinking of starting your own business? Maybe you are already an artistic professional?

Uminova eXpression invites you to a series of free workshops for creators. The working method is specially adapted for activities based on artistic foundations.

Are you interested in joining?

Send us a short description of you and your business/idea by email. Remember to attach a link to your website, portfolio, etc. A maximum of 8 creators will be offered a place in this round.
Expressions of interest should be sent to: barbro.renkel@uminovaexpression.se

Welcome with your application by Friday 3 February.

During four meetings in spring 2017, you will have the opportunity, together with other participants, to analyse your business/idea and identify its key elements. The aim is to provide you with tools that contribute to increased sustainability, both artistically and financially, for your business. Between the meetings, "homework" will be given to help you move forward.

The workshop series will be conducted as follows.

Meeting 1, 22 Wednesday February, 12-16
Review of the model and the content of the different components,
function as well as relationships. Work with model maps.

Meeting 2, Thursday 9 March, 12-16
Review and reflection on the state of play of each activity.
Tasks are based on the respective needs analysis.

Meeting 3, Thursday 5 April, 12-16
Review and analysis of functional or constraining factors.

Meeting 4, Wednesday 4 May, 12-16
New baseline analysis is carried out after a review of results and a strategic plan
for the coming work (6-12 months) is being chalked out.

The workshop will be led by Åsa Bergquist Håål, who has extensive experience from her own artistic work in music. Åsa currently works primarily with business development and process management. She is frequently engaged as a facilitator and designer for learning experiences at Hyper Island and as a business advisor at Transit Cultural Incubator.
