For the fifth year in a row, Young Startup Day is organised, a day for young entrepreneurs and young people with entrepreneurial dreams in Umeå and the region. The event will take place on 6 November and it is now announced who will be attending this year's event to share experiences, inspiration and concrete tips.
Young Startup Day is the event that will inspire and encourage young people in Umeå and the region to want and dare to invest in their business ideas. The event will be held for the fifth time on 6 November at Väven in Umeå.
Speakers include local entrepreneur and entertainment personality Tobias Sedlacek. Since 2016, he has been running the company Team Scandi - a fashion brand that creates a unified expression of Scandinavia, but whose collections reach far beyond Scandinavia's borders. During Young Startup Day, Tobias talks about his entrepreneurial journey.
The event will also feature Ishtar Touailat, Global Head of AI and Innovation at TechBuddy, which offers personalised technology help in the customer's home, regardless of product or supplier. Ishtar has been widely recognised for her entrepreneurship and business leadership throughout her career and has received a number of awards and accolades, including being voted as the female leader of the future and the most powerful woman in the business world. Ishtar will talk about innovation, entrepreneurship, diversity and inclusion.
During the morning, we will also get to know the three companies nominated for the award "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" at Umeågalan 2019, before the winner is announced the next day.
