Between 17 August and 23 August, Stockholm Design Week will be held where Formex, from Volvo Studio Stockholm in Kungsträdgården, will, among other things, highlight Scandinavian design and upcoming trends. In collaboration with Lisa Karlsson from uMe projects runs Formex Pop up shop with among other things jewellery from the artist Stina Urberg and bag designer Ulrika Edholm.
There will be details that you fall in love with immediately. For example, a candle lantern, a piece of jewellery or perhaps a stool," suggests Lisar Karlsson.
Formex The pop up shop will be open from 17 - 22 August for those interested in design to discover design news and trends. In the Volvo Studio Stockholm, visitors can the opportunity to browse a curated range of products from some of the fair's exhibitors, or buy a souvenir to take home.
Stina Urberg, jewellery artist, brings and sells her sustainable jewellery made from recycling, in the Formex Pop Up Shop.
Letting my jewellery be seen during Stockholm Design Week together with other amazing and conscious creators feels just right and super fun. I hope to inspire all visitors to think more climate-smart and in this way also contribute to a more sustainable society, says Stina Urberg.
Even the bag designer Ulrika Edholm who runs the company Bosse & Ester, will show and sell their bags during Stockholm Design Week in the Formex Pop up shop.
It feels great to be at Formex this year with parts of my latest collection. It is made of recycled fabric from Swedish fashion brands. I think it's so good and timely that some fashion companies choose to let their fabrics live on in other companies after finished collections. Says Ulrika Edholm. If the pattern and material feel right, there's so much more to do. It will be more sustainable for everyone!
