From 22 to 30 August, architecture and design students will work with entrepreneurs to develop a specific area in Umeå. The aim is to make the neighbourhood more inclusive and safe. With the support of smart technology and creative tools, they will sketch out proposals and develop finished prototypes.  

"It will be great fun to be involved and follow them from start to finish. In the long run, I believe that this team will drive sustainable and viable initiatives that make our city even more vibrant," says Frida Wimelius which together with Fanny Lindén is responsible for Prototye Week. 

The prototype week takes place in the workshops at eXpression Umeå and at Umeå Energi's Testhus, where participants will engage in idea generation and prototyping. The results will be on display during eXpression's Join eXpression open house on 26 September. More information on that to come.
