Here are the pictures from the Summer eXpressions opening

On 26 June, eXpression's summer programme, Summer eXpression, held a vernissage where the participants showed the prototypes they had worked on for four weeks. Here you can see the pictures, taken by John Sandin.

- The hope is to further develop the ideas into finished products. As a next step, we will also work on exploring different exhibition opportunities for the participants, such as Formex or the Danish Three Days of Design," says Barbro Renkel, CEO of eXpression Umeå.

This year's theme posed the question: What happens when we design for peace, quiet and reflection? Participants created products that helped us land - inspired by the forest, silence and leftover materials.

The focus was on waste materials from the wood industry, residual streams given new life and old methods in new hands.

Summer eXpression is organised in collaboration with Svensk form and with support from the Kamprad Family Foundation and the European Regional Development Fund.
