Design products from Umeå are now on display at the Formex fair in Stockholm. Some of the designers will then attend the opening of Västerbotten at the Grand Hôtel.
Products from the eXpression business incubator in Umeå will participate and be displayed at several exhibitions during the year. The first stop is Stockholm and the ongoing Formex fair.
- Formex is Sweden's largest interior design fair and a great opportunity for our young designers to find retailers and new collaborations, says Barbro Renkel, business coach at Uminova eXpression.
For the second summer the Summer eXpression project has been carried out. Ten selected students were given the opportunity to take their design ideas from sketch to finished product. The products were then produced by local producers such as Furniture Farm in Lövånger, Norrlandsgjuteriet in Robertsfors and Humlebäck Ceramics & Furniture Carpentry.
After Formex, some of the designers will attend the opening of Västerbotten at the Grand Hotel on 22 January and the Grand Art and Design event on 24 January.
The stand is planned and designed by Maria Östensson, Eco Design and Interior Design.
