CREATIVE EXCHANGE WITH IDA HILLEBJÖRK AND HER IKIGAI

CREATIVE EXCHANGE WITH IDA HILLEBJÖRK AND HER IKIGAI

"In the past, great things have been done by saying that he cannot go. Follow your dreams, go your own way and be rich. If anyone thinks you're a fool, you know you're on the right track."

Once a month, eXpression organises an evening where creators, entrepreneurs and business owners meet to be inspired, mingle and eat well together. First out this year to inspire and share her experiences and visions was Ida Hillebjörk, the creative whiz behind both the quote above, as well as clothing brand IDAG and shop Eljest.

Ida talked about what drives her forward, about going her own way and about her plans for the future, which include a local textile shop, a cultural café and building a village of her own. She has many balls in the air and says that's what being an entrepreneur is all about - you just do.

Ida is driven by her Ikigai, the composition of four parts: what you like, what you're good at, what you think the world needs and what you can do to make money.

- If you find the answer to the four parts, you have your Ikigai, and that's the core of why you do what you do," says Ida Hillebjörk.

Judith Felten, one of the spring participants in the eXpress programme, was in the audience and she said:

- Ida inspires by "just doing" and following her values and dreams, despite all obstacles along the way. So each of her steps leads to new ideas and opportunities that become something unique and valuable, something Eljest, that just keeps growing. Ida gives hope that you too can make the world a little better.
