A hat makes you grow a little, stretches you and straightens your back. And if you've made your own hat, there's no limit to how tall you can get - there's something special about making your own. The Konrad and Elvira hat patterns are both available in two different models, as a downloadable PDF. I've worked with classic clean lines and the hats can stand out on their own thanks to this, without the need to work decorations on them. If you still want to revel in roses on the hat, everyone is free to do so, the sewer decides. The hats are named after my grandparents. Grandpa would have looked so handsome in his cap when he was tending the animals and Grandma would look so pretty picking raspberries in her sun hat. The Elvira sun hat is made in a size that fits everyone thanks to the low brim. Perfect also if you want to wear both hat and sunglasses. Konrad is available in sizes 54-60.

About the designer

After a long education and almost a lifetime as a freelance illustrator and designer, a few years ago I took the plunge and trained as a milliner too, after having had hat-making as a hobby for a decade or so. It was like finding home, to work full time with my hands and not just computers, to create something physical. Now I make weird hats, nice hats, ugly hats, well all kinds of hats, just because I can, and hat patterns and illustrations on the computer apparently...
