LIVE: Seminar with the creators of the "Pink Chicken Project"

LIVE: Seminar with the creators of the "Pink Chicken Project"

Linnéa Therese Dimitriou leads a series of conversations with exhibitors from Young Swedish Design in the Utopia Gallery. Next up are Leo Fidjeland and Linnea Våglund with "Pink Chicken Project". Join us on site or digitally!

The designers about their project: "In the Pink Chicken Project, we propose to genetically colour all the world's chickens pink using a new biotechnology called "CRISPR Gene Drive". This action, somewhere between utopia and dystopia, would change the geological trajectory of humanity - and dye it pink!"

Leo and Linnéa were selected by Ung Svensk Form to be part of the national exhibition that stayed in Umeå and the Utopia gallery (upper floor). The exhibition is available until 11 Sep - don't miss it!

Jury's motivation:

Skillfully executed, speculative design that gets the job done. Makes us lift our gaze, change our perspective and fantasize about other futures in an unimaginably long time perspective. Do we really want to end up as pink sediment? Pink Chicken looks death in the eye, but with a smack.

Please note that there are only a few places available in person during the seminar - first come, first served!

Live broadcast: 10 Sep at 12:00

The broadcast can be viewed afterwards.
